Ahmaya Knoelle, a New York-born Harlem native, is a multifaceted artist known for her prowess as a vocalist, dancer, educator, and producer. Beginning her professional career at the age of 7 in the hit musical trilogy "Mama I Want to Sing," she later pursued formal education at prestigious institutions like The Manhattan School of Music and The American Musical Dramatic Academy. Ahmaya co-founded The Mama Foundation for the Arts, home to the Emmy Award-winning program "Gospel For Teens," providing free arts education to New York communities. She also leads the "Sing Harlem Choir," a renowned ensemble with notable performances alongside artists like SZA, Chance The Rapper, and Jennifer Hudson. Ahmaya's contributions extend to academia, where she serves as a professor and director of music at institutions like SUNY Purchase and Dartmouth College. Her latest venture, Ahmaya Knoelle Productions, aims to showcase top musical talent through live events and performances, ensuring the preservation of Harlem's rich musical heritage for future generations.
